MakeupBrushes-eBaySeller BunBunCity

I mentioned that I was getting stuff from eBay that I'd soon be reviewing for the blog. Well, I got it. What did I get?
  • A set of brushes in a pink roll-up case (13 pcs. goat hair)
  • 1 kabuki brush (sable)
These brushes have a luxurious, silky-soft feel on the skin & are great for gently applying a variety of different powders and colors. The kabuki brush is great for applying mineral foundation, & the set of brushes work for applying blush, powders, bronzer, shimmer, & work for a variety of other applications as well. Definitely a great purchase!

NYX Reviews

To all my readers, I'm sorry for neglecting the blog the past few days. Sometimes it seems like everything piles on you at once. However, I do have a few (not all) of the products I purchased. Today, I will be reviewing my NYX purchases. Below, I will list & review what I got.
  • Ultimate Pearl Shadow in Copper Pearl & Silver Pearl - I love these! Not only do they have a great metallic effect, but they're well pigmented for a great color payoff. Definitely a keeper!
  • Diamond Sparkle Lipstick in Sparkling Orchid, Sparkling Red, Sparkling Satin - Although I like all of these, my 2 fave colors are Sparkling Orchid & Sparkling Red. These give your lips sparkle & sheen. I think the red may be a tad too pink for what I'm looking for, but it's still very pretty.
  • Lipstick in Black Cherry - At full intensity this color is much too dark & would look best either on African-American or other dark skinned women. However, when gently layered on w/a lipbrush it works. I really like this color for when I'm going for an intense lip.
All in all, a great purchase!

Banler.com - Rene Furterer Styling Wax

Once again, I will be reviewing a product I received from Banler.com. Today I'll be reviewing Rene Furterer's Styling Wax. I have to say, I've tried different means of styling my hair. I've tried hairspray, gel, mousse, etc. However, using these, especially hairspray, left my hair hard, without much movement. Hairspray left it downright crunchy, Ew!

I like the styling wax, because it lets you style & sculpt your hair without making it crunchy or hard as a rock. You just warm a little bit between your fingers & apply. So, not only does your hair have movement, the wax ads shine as well.

StyleBell.com

I have some good news for my readers. StyleBell.com, the e-commerce site for everything haircare & hair styling, is offering DivaShop readers $10 off every $100 or more. Just enter promo code Style10 during checkout.

SpoonFedArt.com

Those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile are probably well aware that I've written about the beautiful pendants at SpoonFedArt.com on several occassions. Not only are these pendants stunning works of art, but they support a great cause. (SpoonFedArt is a member of the NEDA, the National Eating Disorders Association.)

Now that I've refreshed your memory, I have some great news! SpoonFed Art is currently offering free shipping for all orders placed before the end of September 2007. As if that wasn't enough, they also have some brand new designs & they are using oval spoons as well as the round ones for the pendants! You can see an example of the new oval shape below. Take advantage of this offer to purchase a truly stunning, wearable, piece of art!

Banler.com - Murad Lip Therapy

A couple days ago I reviewed an MDskincare product from Banler.com & promised another review of a product I received from Banler. Today, I'm going to tell you about a Lip Therapy product by Murad Skincare, known as Murad Soothing Skin and Lip Therapy.

Well, on application I did notice that it was very soothing. However, I noticed, too, that it smoothed my lips really good. I also noticed that the smell is mild, which is important for those like me, who have sensitivities.

This balm would be good for applying a few minutes before lip color application because it really does smooth the lips, preparing them for lip color application. As we all know, smooth, hydrated lips always present a better surface for lip color. With that in mind, I heartily recommend this product!

Banler.com - MD Skincare Cleanser/Toner

Do you want premiere skin and hair care with out the expense? Banler.com offers premiere skin & haircare at a fraction of the price. I've received 3 of their products, one of which I will be reviewing today. I'll be reviewing the others later.

What I want to tell you about today is MDskincare's All In One Facial Cleanser/Toner. My dermatologist told me that I should always use a gentle cleanser on my skin, so as not to aggravate my roseacea or cause other problems.

Well, this is a good, gentle cleanser. With wet hands, I lathered it up, & then I smoothed it onto my dry face (as directed), cleaning in a circular motion. Not only did it not aggravate my skin in any way, but my skin feels both clean & smooth. If you want a gentle cleanser/toner this is a good one to consider.

e.l.f. nail polish

Woo-Hoo, e.l.f. has nail polish! On their blog they've been asking customers what new products they would like to see. The nail polish is the first of several new products being added. It comes in 12 colors, and like their other products it's only a buck. Check their site regularly or sign up for the e-mail newsletters to find out when other new products are added. Ooo, I'm so excited!

Out of State Funeral

I won't be posting for a few days, because 2 old family friends (a mother & her son) that I've known since kindergarten have died. So, I'm going out of state for the funeral.
