RetroChic Shampooing Potion

I was given the opportunity to try an item from the RetroChic line of products by BeautyChoice.com. They sent me the RetroChic Shampooing Potion for review. The claim is that it's "superior for restoring damaged hair, locking-in color, and providing lasting protection against the drying effects of harsh sunlight and chemical environments".

Well, I tried the product & while it worked ok, it didn't work as nicely as my regular shampoo. My hair isn't as soft or as shiny as it is when I use my regular shampoo. It did seem to keep tangles down to a minimum, which is a good thing, but honestly, other than that, I'm unimpressed. Plus, I really don't like the smell. I'm bummed because I really wanted to like this.

Skin Deep: Cosmetic Safety Database

I'm still sick, w/a bad case of bronchitis that just won't go away. That aside, I thought I'd share the following info.

Ever wonder about the safety of ingredients in a certain product? Enter SkinDeep, a cosmetic safety database that lists safety information for thousands of cosmetics.

According to the website, "Skin Deep pairs ingredients in more than 41,000 products against 50 definitive toxicity and regulatory databases, making it the largest integrated data resource of its kind." This would especially be a great resource for those w/sensitivities.

Sorry I've been gone awhile. I've been sick (I still am) w/a nasty sore throat. It's awful. Anyhoo, just wanted to let you all know what happened, in case anyone wondered if I dropped off the face of the Earth, lol!

Soo, I was perusing Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers page & noticed they have 2 new colors available (Wee!). Peony & Caramel. Have any of you tried these colors yet? Just curious. You all know my love affair w/Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers.
