Essence Spring Collection

Essence has been a favorite beauty brand in Europe & now they've come to the U.S. & their products are available at ULTA.

I was first introduced to Essence through a German beauty blogger, so I was really excited when I heard about their U.S. launch!

These products were sent to me by a PR rep of the company, I did not pay for them.

Minty e.l.f. Nails

So, my Sister & I were browsing our local Big Lots the other day & I wandered over to the cosmetics section like I usually do when I'm there. I picked up several items, but one item I picked up was an e.l.f. 5 piece nail polish set. The color combo I got is no longer available on the website, but you stand a good chance of picking it up at Big Lots like I did.

The color I'm wearing in the photo is called Blue Mist, which is a pretty minty green shade. If you are a patient person than by all means, get this. Otherwise, you might find applying multiple coats for full opacity a bit trying. I must've applied 4-5 coats. It's very sheer. I don't know if the other shades in this set are also like this or not. I'll have to wait & see what I think.

On the flip-side, once you finish applying it, it really is a pretty shade. It's just a pain in the butt to apply so many coats, especially after the 1-2 coat goodness of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail color.

In conclusion, if you are patient about your nail color application then go ahead & get this because it really is pretty once you're finished. Otherwise, I'd say skip it.

Essence Comes To The USA!

A European favorite, the quality budget beauty brand known as Essence has come to the U.S. I have known about their products for awhile from seeing them used on the fabulous blog Mylanqolia's Makeup Massacre. From her swatches & application I can tell that the products have nice pigmentation.

I have been wanting to try their products for awhile, but couldn't because they weren't available here. Now you can get them at ULTA! Is anyone else excited about this? Let me know in the comments! :)

Nails: Fast Dry, Opaque, Pop of Color!

I went to CVS today in search of nail polishes & I scored! I got several, but right now I'm just going to mention Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail color.

The shade shown in the photo is brisk blue, which is a gorgeous cyan blue. Not only is it fast drying, but you get gorgeous, what-you-see-is-what-you-get, full coverage in 1-2 coats.

I also got this nail color in the shades flashy fuschia & lively lilac & I look forward to trying them! What do you think of these? Let me know in the comments! :)
