Hard Candy Lash Ink

A while back I bought Hard Candy's Lash Ink at Walmart, but for some reason never tried it. Partially because of a previous bad experience w/a lash ink/stain & I don't know, maybe I was suffering from a deplorable lack of curiousity. Lol.

Anyway, I decided to do a little experiment w/it. It says it lasts 4 days, so I put it on & I'm recording my progress & checking in each morning & evening to see how it holds up. So, keep your eyes peeled for my video coming soon.

So, what do you guys think of this product? Love it? Hate it? Never tried it? Let me know in the comments! :)

Cut down trips to the nail salon!

First things first, I must apologize for being MIA, internet access has been down for a while.

Ok, so here's the thing. I have a problem w/weak peeling & splitting nails. It happens all the time. My nails reach a certain length & they start peeling & splitting & I wind up having to clip them down. Mostly, the peeling happens on top, but often enough the underside of the free edge peels too. Talk about a pain in the butt!

What's a girl to do? Well, a few weeks ago I received the Knockout Nails system, which creates a protective coating over your nails. I wanted to test the product as long as possible to see how it would fare around the time my nails start peeling.

The underside of the free edge of one nail started peeling. I figured the top of the nail would be fine w/the protective coating (& it was), but what would happen when the underside starts peeling? Usually, it either takes away a big chunk or it just takes away several layers, leaving an extremely thin, worthless, bendy layer. Either way, I have to clip it down, as usual. Not today!

After the under layer was peeled off (I have to peel it off the rest of the way, or it snags things) I still had a nice sturdy nail because of the protective coating. Now all I had to do was file the free edge a bit so there wouldn't be any rough edges & it was good as new. Count me impressed!

The whole application process is simple & straightforward & the kit comes w/detailed instructions. The product leaves the nails w/a beautiful high gloss finish, but if you'd rather have your nails look more natural, you can use the smoothing file in the kit to buff it to a natural matte finish. I personally love the high gloss finish, so I left it that way. The whole system kit costs $89.97, but if you enter KONDS at checkout you'll get $10 off.

Conclusion: This product stood up to the test & I love it! So, what do you think about this product? Tried it? Not tried it? Interested? Let me know in the comments!
This product was sent to me by a PR rep of the company, I did not pay for it. This in no way effects my opinion of the product.
