Review/NOTD: Sinful Colors' Dream On

My Sister, my Niece, & I went to Target today & we were stopped short by the display of nail colors. So, we took our time perusing the nail color section & I picked up a

Review: Rimmel Nail Color

I'm usually a klutz when it comes to applying nail color (ok, so that would actually apply to more then just nail color, lol). I have shaky hands I usually wind up with product on the skin around the nail. There has to be an easier way, right?

Fortunately, there is. Several brands have now incorporated a wide flat brush for ease in application & Rimmel's Lasting Finish Pro Nail Enamel is one of them.

As you can see in the photo I got the color Steel Grey, which I love. It's a gorgeous purpley-taupe shade! Now, on to the brush. I was able to apply this w/o any mishaps &, HOLY COW, it was so easy! The brush is wide enough to cover most of the nail, which results in not having to swipe the brush on the nail as much & it being flat definitely helps in spreading the color evenly. I love this brush!

The formula glided on super smooth w/o streaking or clumping & you only need 2 coats for good coverage or 3 for full opacity. I rather like the look of 2 coats, which is how many I'm wearing in the photo. As to whether or not this will last for 10 days like the product claims, I don't know. However, if you use a good topcoat you should be able to extend the wear of your nail color. Even if this doesn't last 10 days I love it & would buy it again because of the ease of application & the smoothness of the formula.

Have you, my readers, tried this product? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments! :)

Orly @ CVS!

Sorry for being MIA folks. We've been making Yard Sale preparations & even at that I feel like I've accomplished so little. Ugh!

Yard Sale prep aside, I mentioned in a previous post the fact that Essie & Orly are carried at CVS. Now that I live near a CVS, I can benefit from that. :)

In my previous post, I showed some Essie colors that I thought were very pretty. Now I want to show you some gorgeous Orly colors I've got my eyes on!

In the image above there's some pretty shimmery neutrals, a couple bold pinks (1 creme & 1 shimmer), & a gorgeous bold & shimmery red (my fave of the bunch). Aren't these pretty!

I don't have spendable funds right now, but eventually I'd like to get me some pretty nail colors & with Orly & Essie at a nearby CVS, I think I'll find something I like! :)

Revlon's GlimmerGloss Nailcolor

Gotta give props to Michelle Mismas of All Lacquered Up, who was interviewed for the Glamour Beauty Blog. Congrats Michelle! I got a cool tip-off in that interview about a product I didn't know about, Revlon's Glimmer Gloss Nail Enamel. This is perfect for me because, for my nails, I tend to gravitate toward sheer lighter colors with plenty of shine. I would love this in the yummy colors of blueberry burst, grape shimmer, strawberry sizzle, & grapefruit glimmer. These look very pretty!

e.l.f. nail polish

Woo-Hoo, e.l.f. has nail polish! On their blog they've been asking customers what new products they would like to see. The nail polish is the first of several new products being added. It comes in 12 colors, and like their other products it's only a buck. Check their site regularly or sign up for the e-mail newsletters to find out when other new products are added. Ooo, I'm so excited!

Wild Shine Nail Color

Has anyone tried Wet n Wild's Wild Shine Nail Color?
Looks like they have a great color selection! What do
you think of this brand of nail color? I'd love to get the
black & the white & attempt a reverse french manicure
(black tip, white nail).

OPI Nail Colors

I lust after these nail colors! I always love a nice light color for everyday, or with some sparkle for more festive occasions. Of course, ruby red is always a classic. If you're fair, like me, the aubergine color would be a great wearable alternative to the black nail trend. You can still go dark, but have a bit of beautiful color to your nails. If you want to go black, OPI has several beautiful blacks that you can wear.
